The Applied Translation Workshops and the Applied Translation Courses (1 AU Courses) are specially designed for working adults in enhancing their English-Chinese/Chinese-English translation skills and bilingual competence. The training focuses on the learning of important translation skills and the effective use of the two languages. Such training can also help participants to develop their potentials through critical thinking, reasoning, and hands-on practice. In the workshop series, English and Chinese are both the source languages (SLs) and the target languages (TLs) in terms of the perspectives of training.
