He Fan's interests focus on Classical Chinese philosophy, especially Confucian and Taoist texts. His dissertation is to examine the concept of harmony in early Han dynasty, that is, how philosophers in early Han adopted the concept of harmony to guide people to live an ideal life in the world.

Christine’s research interests is Chinese Metaphysics and cosmology, broadly construed. In particular, however, her research focuses on Xuanxue, specifically its ontological and ethical import.

Christine did her master’s thesis on the Zhouyizhu, and her undergraduate thesis on French post-structuralism and psychoanalysis.

Research Interests

Jono’s main research interest centers around Madhyamika Philosophy and its philosophical and ethical implications in the context of two truth theory (“samvriti satya” and “paramartha satya”). His previous and current research topics include Buddhist epistemology, Early Buddhism and Abhidhamma,Tibetan Buddhist dialectics, Chinese Buddhism, Chinese Philosophy and Comparative Philosophy. His research focus will be examining how Madhyamika Buddhist ethical concerns and approach, through the lens of Tsongkhapa Lobsang Drakpa’s interpretation of Prasangika Madhyamika, can be brought into dialogues with Neo Confucianism under comparative philosophical perspectives.
