Communication in Healthcare @ NTU (COHEN)




Doing medicine, at its core, deals with the treatment of another human being, and it is carried out through communication between healthcare professionals and patients on a daily basis. Effective communication contributes greatly to the success of medical treatment.​

Communication in Healthcare @ NTU (COHEN) is an interdisciplinary research group at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), which consists of researchers, educators, and healthcare practitioners from the School of Humanities, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Wee Kim Wee School of Communication, and other Schools.

Established in 2018, the research group works closely with its healthcare institutions partners in doing evidence-based quality communication researches. The group is committed to producing impactful researches that will inform healthcare communication education and improve the quality and effectiveness of healthcare communication.
